CNC Milling & Custom Cutting
Your design, cut to the line.
Signs, parts, panels, inlays, templates — if you can draw it, our 5' × 10' CNC can cut it. We mill wood, acrylic, and soft metals like aluminum, holding tight tolerances on pieces up to full sheet size.
It starts with a vector file
CNC machines don't cut from pictures — they follow paths. That means every job needs a vector file (formats like SVG, DXF, AI, or EPS) that defines exactly where the machine cuts.
Already have one? Great — send it over and we'll review it to make sure it's ready to run.
Don't have one? No problem. We can create the vector file for you from a sketch, a photo, a logo, or even just a conversation about what you want. Design and file-prep time is billed at $80 per hour, and we'll give you an estimate before we start. Once your file is built, you own it — repeat orders run without any additional design charge.
Materials we cut
Wood — hardwoods, softwoods, plywood, and MDF, from delicate inlay work to full-sheet cabinet parts.
Acrylic — clean, polished-edge cuts for signage, displays, guards, and templates.
Soft metals — aluminum and other non-ferrous metals for brackets, plates, control panels, and custom parts. (We cannot cut steel or other hard metals.)
Want color in your wood carving?
Any design we can carve, we can also fill with pigmented epoxy — single color or full multi-color — for a look that's set permanently into the wood. School logos (we're licensed for OSU and OU), business logos, names, and custom artwork. See our Epoxy Inlays page for details and pricing.
How your job is priced
You pay for time — that's it. Your job is billed on actual machine and setup time. Simple profile cuts run fast; detailed carvings, fine lettering, and 3D work take longer. Different cut styles also require different bits, and each bit change means stopping the machine, swapping tools, and re-zeroing — that time is simply part of your job's total. There's no separate tool-change fee. We'll estimate total time from your file before anything gets cut, and sometimes a small design tweak can reduce bit changes and save you money.
Materials. Bring your own material, or we can supply and quote it as part of the job.
Large production runs. High-volume runs wear through tooling, so for large production jobs we ask that you purchase the bits that will be dedicated to your run. They're yours — we keep them on hand for your reorders, and you'll never pay for tooling wear from someone else's job. We'll spec exactly what's needed and include it in your quote.
How it works
Send us your file or your idea. We'll review your vector file — or quote the design work to create one — and confirm material, dimensions, and quantity.
We quote the job. You'll get an estimate covering design time (if any), machine time, material, and tooling for production runs before anything gets cut.
We cut it. Your parts come off the machine cut to spec and ready for finishing or assembly.
Common questions
What file formats do you accept? Vector formats: SVG, DXF, AI, or EPS. We can also work with CAD files — ask us about your specific format. JPGs, PNGs, and PDFs of images aren't vector files, but we can convert them for you as design time.
Why does a detailed design cost more than a simple one the same size? Time. Fine detail means slower feed rates, smaller bits, more passes, and more bit changes — all of which add machine time to the job.
Can you cut steel? No — our machine handles wood, acrylic, and soft non-ferrous metals like aluminum. Steel and other hard metals are beyond its capability.
How big can you go? Up to 60" × 120" — a full 5' × 10' sheet in one setup.
Do you do one-offs or only production runs? Both. One-off custom pieces are welcome, and repeat production runs get faster and cheaper after the first job since the file and setup are already dialed in. For large runs, you'll purchase the dedicated tooling for your job — and we'll keep it on hand for your reorders.
